New Site Host… Again! Welcome to WordPress, Sacks

Hey there, Sack Pack Fantasy Football folks! As the Commissioner, I have some exciting news to share with you. As you may have noticed, we’ve made the switch to WordPress for our website hosting. This is our fourth change in just two years, and we know it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride. But I’m hopeful that we’ve finally found our new forever home.

When we left Tumblr, we were searching for the simplicity and diverse style options it offered. But unfortunately, we had to leave due to some terrible forced banner ads they had implemented. Thankfully, they’ve now stopped using them. But as the webmaster for the league, I can’t help but feel a little annoyed at all the work I had to go through because of those ads. So in my usual destructive stubborn style, I refuse to look back. Unless WordPress also starts to blow and then might as well, I guess.

However, I’m excited about the possibilities that WordPress brings to the table. At this time, I believe it will allow us to better inform and connect with each other and provide a more engaging experience overall. But in order for that to happen, we, as a league, need your help.

Participation in the league games has remained strong, but engagement between members has dried up. We want to encourage more interaction and discussion between teams, and we need your support to make it happen. So please, don’t be shy! Let us know what you think about the new website and any suggestions you might have for improving the league experience.

I know that change can be tough, but I’m confident-ish that this move to WordPress will be a positive one in the long run. Also, we still use the same url and it just autoforwards, so you don’t have to do shit to experience the change on your end. I’m excited to see where it takes us, and I hope you are too. Let’s continue to make the Sack Pack Fantasy Football League the best fantasy football league we’re in.
